EMPOWERING HUMANITY TO THRIVE AGAIN

Saliva is a reliable, non-invasive specimen collection method for the detection of SARS-CoV-2.  Uncomfortable "brain-scrapping" nasopharyngeal swabs may put health-care workers at higher risk for disease transmission during patients' gag reflex, coughing, or sneezing. Saliva on the other hand removes this component and is a painless and simple collection process.

Once the saliva sample is collected and packaged, it is sent to a lab where rRT-PCR is performed. Results typically are available in 48-72 hours but may arrive sooner.
